Green Tea with Mint Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp green tea leaves (or 1 green tea bag)
- 5-6 fresh mint leaves
- 1-2 tsp honey (optional)
- A slice of lemon (optional)
Instructions:
- Boil the Water:
- In a small pot, bring the water to a gentle boil. Avoid over-boiling as it can make the green tea taste bitter.
- Add the Mint Leaves:
- Once the water starts boiling, add the fresh mint leaves and let them simmer for 1-2 minutes to release their flavor.
- Add the Green Tea:
- Turn off the heat, add the green tea leaves (or tea bag), and let it steep for 2-3 minutes. Adjust steeping time depending on how strong you want the flavor.
- Strain and Sweeten (Optional):
- Strain the tea into a cup to remove the leaves. You can add honey for sweetness if desired.
- Serve:
- Garnish with a fresh mint sprig or a slice of lemon if you prefer a citrusy touch.
Enjoy your refreshing mint green tea!
